Hey guys! My airbag light came on the other day and beeped, but then turned off shortly after. Its been doing that everyonce and a while then stops for a while then goes off nonstop. Its really freaking me out. I'm completely stock except straightpipe and 6 inch lift. I also noticed my torsion bar had come loose but couldn't figure how the computer could notice that until the light continued afterwards. Help I'm scared its sonething expensive

 

it is possible that the clockspring behind the steering wheel is the culprit.

On my 01, it has gone bad 3 times. each time, I get an intermittent airbag light. And the chime to go with it.

I needed one asap last time, the parts guy told me two weeks. I ordered one from my selling dealer down south, they went under warranty still, because of a recall on those years. Local guy couldn't understand the hurry.

Having had an airbag blow off due to trace voltage, immediately above my head. I simply said " how would you like driving around with a loaded gun pointed at your face?"

He understood

 

anyone else? will dodge be able to tell me what it is? or will they charge me up my ***? any ideas?

 

What are the details around your truck? Year/model/etc?

 

2003 5.9 laramie stock as hell except 4 inch downpipe, 6 inch lift, and 35s.
