First off, welcome to DTR. Nice to have another aboard. As far as your oil goes, any of these will work:

15/40
Rotella
Valvoline
John Deere
Mystic
Delo
Amsoil
Royal Purple
Mobile
.... and some I forgot. I swap back and forth from Rotella, Valv, Amsoil, and John Deere. I send in an oil sample in every oil change, and they all come back the same, no matter which oil. So, just pic one and have fun on DTR

I use Amsoil 15w/40.

No problem with the Wix if you are doing "regular" oil changes. They are good filters. If you want extended oil changes, then you want something like Amsoil's EAO80 filter and/or their by-pass system. Frantz also makes an excellent by-pass system, but is a little messier to clean than Amsoil's spin on filters.

This man has correct answer. Let your bilfold be the judge on which you buy. The higher price oil gives greater bragging rights but not necessarily better features. JMHO
