I regularly tow loads of 20-24K on my GN and BP trailers, and I have 35" tires, 373 ls diffs. I have had no issues relative to the gear ratio not being what some consider a little too high. Even those with the 410 gearing have had throwout bearing problems and torn up clutch discs.

Just sounds like the throwout bearing is/was done, maybe the clutch disc was also close to being done, and this load was the final straw in breaking the Cummins back. Relays go bad all the time too. Wear is wear, goes with the 'using' part of the territory.

I would have been installing a new HD clutch at this point in time, the stock clutch is OK, but if it's crappin' out with your use level at the kind of mileage you have now, the next one will be done in about the same time as this one.

Gears are stock 3.73's. Yeah, better clutch should been what I should of done but he couldn't get one in until Tuesday or wednesday of next week. I was going to give Valair clutch a call since they are pretty local but I really wanted a SB. However for this being an oem it's awfully hard to disengage.

I hope you had the flywheel replaced along with the rest of the clutch? If not, you're gonna have issues with it right away......
