Power steering fluid change
Mopar ATF is only a group III synthetic (a highly refined dino/crude oil that is legally allowed to be called synthetic) and not group IV (man made) synthetic like Amsoil an Redline make.

You may be correct that regular Mopar ATF +4 is not a "group IV". Honestly I don't know. I just know it's good stuff and has served me well.
It is what my owner's manual says to put in the PS reservoir. I wish I had thought to change out the fluid 70,000 miles ago.......but the original stuff that was in it still looked pretty good for 90,000 miles. But from now on im going to suck it out and replace it every 20k. Personally, I don't see any big need to spend more money on the Amsoil or Redline ATF +4. I am sure they will all work great though.

a great mind once told me, " PS fluid is the most overlooked fluid in all vehicles, ours helps with braking so you might keep a closer eye on it"

Remove a hose off of the cooler. I believe it's the bottom/inside hose. Keep dumping fluid into the res. until clean fluid comes out. This will flush the cooler. Start the truck and have a helper dump fluid into the res. until clean fluid comes out. This will flush the rest of the system. Re-attach the hose and refill the res. Work the steering wheel until all air is out of the system. Check the fluid level periodically. Use a syringe to suck access fluid out.

It's so easy to do, it's silly. Don't make it complicated. Just buy one of those cheap hand pumps from Autozone, suck out what you can, and replace with Mopar ATF+4.

This is actually good advice! I was trying to think of what else needed to be changed! Totally forgot about the PS! Thanks guys!
