There has been lots of discussion in regards to causes and fixes for this code.

In my case I changed out both batteries since they were original to the truck, load tested them off the vehicle and the drivers side battery would drop off to 8v real quick. Both batteries measured 13.1 static on the floor. Put 2 new Interstates in, cleared the codes and fired it up. Truck runs better than it has in a while. Can't complain about getting 7.5 years out of the stock batteries.

If everything is good, that code will clear itself after a few starts.....

It will not clear with a code reader.....

If you still have the code after several starts there is still something wrong.

Wont clear with reader. Today I pulled seat belt plug, in
the morning I will check. If I run every day no problem, only
after a week of setting.

The first thing I did was pull all grounds, clean and check.
When I transferred batteries to bed, I drilled and taped frame
and welded nuts on. This was done a couple yrs ago and never
had this problem. I think when I get some time I will take it
to dealer and have them flash ecm. This truck is a toy and doesn't
get driven much.
