MP8-p2509

I just put an mp8 on my truck and before I cranked it I checked the codes and got a p 2509. I have searched the forum and found that it is an ecm intermitten code or something like that but could somebody please tell me what that means in normal talk?

Oh and after a couple of runs (truck runs fine) I checked again and it was still there.

P2509 = Power Down Data Lost Error

Set Condition:

Loss of voltage detected at the ECM for a calibrated period of time.

Pausible Causes:

Poor Connections at the batteries
Low Battery Voltage
Open Fused B+ to ECM (B+ is Dodges way of saying a positive 12V)
Open Ground Circuit
Battery + shorted to other circuits
Return circuit shorted
Battery + shorted to ground
Intermittent Condition

Not sure how it could be the MP8's problem? The only thing I could thing of is that if the module had a problem and shorted the ground or even the 5v supply it is getting and it caused a problem across the board.

I think that is way far fetched and you would have all sorts of boost and rail pressure codes and I very seriously doubt the truck would run in that condition.

Had any battery issues lately? Maybe they are going dead? I would start there.

Quad, my batteries were dead about a week ago, so how can I get that code out.

Jess, your boy Dennis helped me out a ton. He said not to worry about the 0191 as far as it isnt hurtin anything but he understood I didnt want it ther and he said to clear tha 2509 first and then we could go from there. Thanks for tellin me to call him, we got it worked out.
