Oil and fuel filters

I bought an oil and fuel filter at the dealership in my area today. Talk about sticker shock, oil filter $13.51 and fuel filter $44.05. Is there any place to get these things cheaper?

Yeah, go to Cummins, or even AutoZone. Autozone just repackages the Stratapore fuel filters and sells them for about $15, WOW what a savings
You can also go here Genoes

Find a Freightliner Dealership in your area...they carry Fleetguard Filters.....order you some LF16035 oil filters and FS19579 fuel filters. Me and my next door neighbor split an order of six oil filters & six fuel filters....we ended up paying around $11.00 ea for the oil filters and around $12.00 each for the fuel filters.

If you want sticker shock, ask the Dealership what they charge to change the fuel filter.

Have heard tell of $150 bucks.

Takes all of 10 minutes if you're slow and methodical.

I guess I'm that because it take me that long to find a bottle to drain the pump into.
Wait a minute, I'm still faster than the dealership and cheaper too

Took them back to the dealership and got a refund, parts guy had to put down why the return. I told him "I can get them for less then half that at Cummins West". He looked at me and said "I know, that is where I get mine"!!!!!!

The onlt thing a dealer is good for is picking up the truck from. NEVER buy parts there if you can help it.
