Is this normal for the fan clutch?
Is this normal for the fan clutch?
I've owned this truck since new in 04 and never noticed this before (now has about 81k). When I start it up cold first thing in the day (So Cal cold - so that could be anything from 40-110), I have been noticing that the fan engages for a minute or two. Within a block or two of my house, it goes off. I first noticed this during the summer and figured it was probably because the AC was on. But it seems to do it even with the AC off. Does it sound like my fan clutch is starting to fail? Or is this normal and I just didn't notice it before?
