Grid heater light on while driving today...and a dinging sound.
So coming down the east side of Eisenhower tunnel today, in tow/haul with the travel trailer behind me. As we exit the tunnel the truck starts chiming like my seatbelt is off and I look down and the grid heater light is illuminated on the dash. Ambient temps around 55*F and sunny and dry. Grid heater Light went out after about 10 or 15 seconds and the dinging stopped. I got down the grade and popped the hood, everything checked out. I also put my hand on the intake plenum and it was cool, as well as the grid heater was cool also.
Any ideas? No codes, no more problems rest of the way home.

Thanks spooler. Is there a reflash that fixes this problem? The TSB reads like they know what the symptoms are, but fail to tell what corrective actions are needed.

Mine loses half it's power, or that's what it feels like, I've been posting on here and another sight for a while and this problem seems to be a mystery and I can't get an answer as to what the problem is, some have replaced certain parts and it has worked but I don't want to start throwing money on parts that are good, I have also been told its a software issue and the ECM needs to be reflashed/undated, I have an appointment Friday to have that done, only going to cost $30-35 so seems like that's the cheapest place to start, what sucks is my truck still has the 30 day tags on it, once I get all the bugs worked out it will be a great truck, I'll update if it works

I'm glad I'm not the only one searching for a solution to this problem.
Can I assume that each of us that are experiencing this have had a recent software update from the dealer?
Anyone experiencing this with aftermarket programs installed?

I went to the dealer yesterday for the update but said my truck has the most recent software on it, so now they want to do injector and lift pump tests, I'm not sure what my next step is, it's getting pretty aggravating

I bought my truck in February and didn't start seeing the problem til mid may, haven't had it to the dealer yet. Trying not to waste money as the truck payment is costly enough as it is.
