Got a 2006 Auto 4x4 QC 3500 that is acting up. It wouldn't start, and the owner ran it without a lift pump for months, swapped on a CP3 from one of the motors sitting in my shop, bled it out, started up, and it started to run away. Shut it off, reset the computer, and it won't start again. Owner says it was acting up with occasional run aways before he called me about it.

I'm thinking the APPS, but they have so many backups for that I don't know how that would be it.

Its not just running away at idle either like the TC would make it do. Its doing it going down the road as well.

Ideas?

 

Try the TIMBO repair, mine would run away then return to normal, found codes p2121 and 2146, after replacing tps all is normal.

 

same with mine, it seemd to have a 10 second lag especially when it was cold. Touch the throttle, wait 10 seconds, then the truck would go on it's own. Did the timbo repair and it has been fine since.

 

what is a timbo repair? i googled timbo and looked at urban dictionary wow very interesting but was not it

the timbo apps will fit on 98.5 through all 24 valves with the APPS on the left front of the motor, my 03 has one like my 99.

he sells the one under the left battery as well, OEM not his.

Yeah, and I specified that this is for a 2006, not either of my trucks.
