new Lift pump

Just purchased a new Raptor lift pump. Anything special about putting it on? The original lift pump is till working at 115k plus miles, but feel like I am on borrowed time with it.
In case my signature doesnt show up, truck is a 2004 2500 with the Ho engine.

Nothing really hard with installing the Raptor pump. Other than getting the hoses on the Parker push lock fittings.

Here's what I ran across during installation.

The first time I did a raptor install, I too struggled mightily with the hose ends and the push-lok fittings. Since that time I did learn that if you soak the hose end in HOT water for a bit before attempting to put the hose end in, it will go a lot easier. I think I redefined profanity getting them done on my first install, but now its not so bad. If you do it on a room temperature hose, you'll find it isn't the easiest thing to do. But its overall a very easy install.

This weekend I actually installed my own 20 mic fuel/water separator and 2 mic filtration combo. I didn't purchase anyone's kit, I just got some filterheads and made my own brackets, got some fittings and I now have 1/2" line all the way to the cp3. It wasn't too bad, really.

That is definately the trick soak the hose in boiling hot water and they go right on. Otherwise it is a struggle.

I used a heat gun. But boiling water is a good idea.

I will have to remember that trick. I am looking forward to just getting it on there and done. It will be nice not to have to think if today is the day my lift pump will die.
