PTO for 3500

Does anybody have any suggestions on putting a pto on a 3500 6 speed. I'm wanting to bolt a hydraulic pump to the pto so I will have hyd auxilaries to run my hyd tools. I have spoken with a Chelsea dealer and the pto can be built to fit my tranny, but I feel like some where there has got to be a place to order a pto specificly for a Dodge. Or I am open to any other recomendations for a hydraulic system.

I'm pretty sure there's quite a few manufacturers that make hydraulic pumps and PTO units in one box for tow trucks, dump trucks and the like. A single unit is most certainly cheaper than a PTO unit and a separate pump. Try a Dodge dealer that sells fleet trucks, they probably have some information.

Of course, I'm used to PTO's that run augers or external pumps on trucks, or hydraulic pumps that fit on tractor PTO's.

This is definitly something you don't want to cheap out on, make sure it's US made. However, I don't think you would have to have one custom made. You would think that the NV5600 transmission would have pumps that are made for it since they put the PTO plates on there to begin with.

I think the Chelsea 442 is what works on a G56. Look up Deo "therabbittree" on here...I think he's got one.

I've installed tons of ptos at a previous job and there are a few Chelsea's that bolt up, 442 is one of them if i remember correctly. The only thing the dealer has to do is redo the ratio to your desired needs which takes maybe 20mins. Fairly easy install if you have all the right parts. I mostly worked on fords so cant remember if the dodges need a 45 deg adapter or not
