I agree with Jus Cruisin on the point about law suits, it only takes one idiot to leave a vehicle in gear, get out and it hurt somebody then this person is unwilling to take responsibility for their actions so they get a lawyer to sue DC.
If I disconnect the switch then DC can't be sued for a disabled system they provided, well not as easy. The other manufacturers will probably follow.

My fix was rowing down the window.. However when its raining it gets darn wet. However, driving a Commerical Rig I use my mirrors cant see our the rig with the door open. My two Cents

 

I recieved my second "out of park alarm system" notice for my 2003 ctd. Was wondering of the people that this Alarm has been installed on there "03" trucks, will it set the alarm off if you leave the engine running and put it in netrual or park and open the door?? say a person wants to check the trans oil.
