Thinkin about buyin...

Hi Ya'lls

I'm thinkin bout buying a 2003 Dodge 2500 cummins mated with an auto, SLT, 4x4. Its just a reg cab with about 126k on it. Can ya'll tell me what the good and bad things are about these trucks. What's about the general fuel mileage these beasts make?? Appreciate all the help. I got a powerstroke now...but am thinkin bout switching. Thanks again!!

The good news is that it will run without puking headgaskets or turbos when you need to get somewhere. The bad news is it will get nowhere NEAR the mileage as the later fords, as they use no fuel while being towed or coasting with the engine off. Oh, and ford owns cummins.

HA! Anyway to answer some of your questions most of what you will find is good things look for a truck that has been maintained and it will last forever. The Auto though could give you problems especially if it was owned by anyone on here.

Oh yeah and MPG's will be anywhere from 14 to 24 depending on how you drive it. Under 2000 RPM's on the highway you should see over 20. I got 23 recently on a trip!!!
