Mag-Hytec trans/pan/gasket?
Just got my transpan today, and was wondering if I should use the gasket that came with it, or use the reusable oem one? The gasket that came with the pan is a hard paper feeling one, i'm thinking of using the oem one but would like to hear from someone that has this pan on there truck. thanks

I got the PML pan, and when I went and got my new filter from Autozone, it came with a nice rubber one and I used it with a very light coat of permatex (so light that it was only used to hold the gasket in place while fitting it to the tranny) and I haven't had any leaks. I even took the stock pan and gasket and have them on ebay right now.

I used the stock reusable oem gasket with mine, been on there almost a year now with no problems. Put the gasket away that came with it, may need it some day, but would rather go to dealer and buy another reusable gasket. That reminders me, about due for a transmission oil change.

my first change used the gasket that came with the pan...2nd change used the mopar reusable gasket...no problems with either...but I seem to remember to have read that maghytec strengthens the transmission, if true I think the thinner gasket would be better.
