Making the Change to AMSOIL
I used it for years and had good results. I am just uncomfortable about the extended change times and I do believe that synthetics leak a little more. Now for me delo or shell dino in the motor and synthetics in the boxes.
Sorry fellas, I knew sooner or later I would get the Amsoil cult all riled up. Ironically a few of your fellow worshipers failed to see the sarcasm, I have had a a couple try to sign me up as an Amsoil dealer through the private messages. I just didn't have the heart to tell them that my post were tongue n' cheek. Glad ya like the avatar.

After reading this thread, looks like you are the one all riled up.
Sevir,
You can spend $10 on a 6 month 'preferred customer' AMSoil membership and it will more than pay for itself with your first order. A case of oil lists for $102, costs $76 with membership.
A buddy of mine and I alternate being the 'preferred customer' and combine our orders for fluids and filters (him). Course, we usually spend the $20 for a year membership. Yea we both save every dime we can.
I'm no expert, but I've used Amsoil in my previous 2 trucks, and currently use it in my 'babies' (motorcycles) and haven't had any problems. I figure as long as a product meets the industry standard (atf+4, ci+, etc) it can't hurt and being synthetic means fewer pennies going to the oil producing nations!
Cheers
