low RPM vibration
Posting for a friend: He has a '06 3/4 ton, 6-spd 4x4 w/ approx. 90k on it. Truck is stock.
Recently, the truck has started acting up w/ an intermittant vibration.
It only seems to occur from off idle and gradually diminishes as you go up in RPM. It occurs in every gear, but is more prevelant in 1st or 2nd. Very noticable when towing a load.
Performance has not suffered.
Doesnt seem to noticable if you just rev the engine while stopped. Only occurs under load?
He had the rotors turned, tires balanced, no change.
This past weekend, I personally experienced it. It did it consistantly on Friday when we towed a trailer to Pueblo, CO. But on Saturday, we did the EXACT same trip, and could not feel ANY vibration.
Any thoughts????

I am experiencing the same issue with my 2004.5. I have an appt at the dealer on Friday and will let you know what I find out. If its not the rear u-joint, I am thinking it might be the Center Support Bearing.
