I can't help with an answer but I am sure glad you brought this up. I was just in a diesel service center a couple of weeks ago picking us some stanadyne and me and the guy got to talking about lift pumps and he really suggested I install one in my truck.
I think I could probably do this myself, but have no idea where or what parts I need to do this. Can you tell me where you got yours and what kind of job it was to install. Also, is this a guage that is just mounted by the filter or do you have it routed into the cab?
Thanks alot,
Rick

my fuel gauge is mounted inside the cab......i will not put a stock lift pump back on if i do it myself..... i've read the stock unit is expensive (around $400.00)...if dodge will replace mine fine. i'm getting ready to order a holley blue pump and install that....either pump looks fairly easy to install....( the stock one easier because there's no cutting or fabricating)......but i do have another question??? we'll see if anyone will answer..... if i run a blue pump inline with the stock pump and the stock pump fails will the blue pump push fuel through the stock pump and keep the truck running????
