How does one know when a lift pump bites it ???

if u are experiencing a lift pump problem u would not be asking about it. All parts are made to fail...

That guy from St.Louis with 1,000,000 miles on his cummins, only put 1 pump in... Keep thoses fuel filters changed and use a lubricator every once in a while.

Guess a quick test is to disconnect the lift pump power connector and see if the engine will run. ???

get a fuel pressure gauge and mount it on the A-pillar ( my as well get a pyro gauge too...) then u can monitor it and not have to worry.. ;D
