lift pump

will my 03 5.9 run if the lift pump is bad? willit burn up my new cp3? I cleared the 0628 code after replacing fuel filter on the scanner but it is still on the odometer. Is it safe to run?

It might run with a bad LP, But not very well.
No it will not burn up the CP3, It is better to have the LP pumping Fuel to it...
