My brothers 03 has an intermittent problem of fuel starvation. If you step on the gas when its acting up it will stall. It will only idle and after a while will run OK but hesitate under full load, feels like fuel starvation. I have never heard the lift pump and I understand that it is located on the fuel filter housing.

Where do you test for fuel pressure?
What pump would you put on the truck?

And the truck is for sale, so what would be the cheapest repair?

Cant wait to get my truck running, I actually prefer the second gens after driving his for the last month, don't get me wrong I am grateful for the loaner.

That's the classic description of a clogged fuel filter. Change it first.
