I get a wicked shudder sometimes on a 1st gear take off sometimes, and I really get it backing up a trailer in reverse, the truck kinda feels like its power hopping. It never did it before, would that have something to do with my clutch or would that be U-joint related too?
I have read about the TSB, and I have also heard people state that ladder bars may help that it could be the axle moving? Im not sure but if people have any ideas for this type of problem I would love to hear them and im sure Dieselboy would to!

if it is on acceleration while turning, happens every now and then, I would really look at your ujoints. climb under the truck, and try and wiggle them. they shouldnt budge (at least thats what I was told) mine were so bad I could grab them with index finger and thumb and wiggle it. changed them out, and no more shudder.

On a turn has NOTHING to do with u/joints.Plus these u/joints go dry and rust. They get tight, not loose. On accel and a turn, low speeds mainly LEFT is from the diff.Add $6 bucks of posi additive and drive it.Within a couple miles it will be gone. Now if the binding is from the FRONT and in the steering on a slow sharp turn it can be a front u/joint.They won't get loose until they are ground to pieces.I and others spent a few hundred dollars chasing this issue and it was less then a $10 fix.
