Just installed an ether assist !!!!

I just installed an ether start assist for cold weather. Two pumps on the assist button makes that motor rattle like crazy. I'm afraid to try three cause it may blow the glow plug grid. Any thoughts on three??? HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Man, there is a lot of bad feelings on ether on these motors... where do you have it plumbed?

You know if it hits energized grid heaters, it could be really bad...

Are you serious?

Madhat, bad feelings is right!!!!

Not sure if he's kidding or not, but I would say he's on the wrong path, or the right path to bad things.

Well, some of the bigger motors have an ether assist, so it's not a totally foreign idea, just not sure how it will work with the ISB.

The only problem that I know of for sure is the grid heater. I think I have heard that it is bad for the pistons/rings, but I can't confirm that.

So... if he has a grid heater delete, or has the nozzle tapped after the heater...???

I can't say I would not give a motor a shot every now and then, but I would not do it as a common practice.

If you are having trouble starting with out ether, but it starts with ether fine, you probably have an injector problem.

I like the ether to be plumbed to the floor vents and have the ether evaporate fast while driving , that way it fills the cab with intoxicating vapors. (check out H.S. Thompson's book, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas). Really though, lighten up, it's a Halloween joke with a load of sarcasm.

hahaha...

No worries... I never know.

I personally like it plumbed into the sun visors, the g forces my truck pulls almost inject the vapor into my skin... Mmm...

Yeah, but your RPM's go up with it, so it's ok.

I wonder if we should put an either assist on the exhaust housing side of the turbo?
