it just died

it just died

went to pick up a friend tonight and as i pulled up in front of the college
the cummins just died
no warning
no funny sounds
just died
will start after a key cycle
runs for 2 seconds and dies again
its at the dealership now but any ideas?

If you have the grey Key try the other key.. Maybe the security in the key died...

tried the other key didnt work
it has the key with the keyless entry built into the key

Does key on key off work on the new trucks??
try it and find out. key on-off-3 times and then leave it on and watch the odometer for the codes.

not with the truck now its across town at dodge
but it gave no check engine light nothing
just quit

My guess is the lift pump went out. But the in-tank pumps (05 on up) seem to be holding up much better than the filter canister mounted ones.

so the dealership just called me
said it was something with the cam sensor
also said that the air filter was full of ice
kinda funny seeing as it was in for service a few days ago

and now they just called me and said it was the computer that went

well got er back today shes purring like a kitten
new air filter new cam sensor new engine computer and one comercial inspection
$39......wish everything was that cheap
