Engine just died

I just had my head done. They put new head on and gaskets two weaks ago. It was blowing coolant in resovour and spilling out so they said head was leaking and cracked and put new one on. Today the engine just stopped while driving, very quickly.. I looked at oil and there was white scum all over dipstick, which water and antifreeze got in I prosume. Also, in radiator overflow tank, there was oil blobs mixed with antifreeze. What do you guys think problem is or where they did something wrong?

Thanks,
rob

Did they do it wrong twice? My first guess is they put a 24v gasket in your 12v (or the other way around, you didn't say which truck). Did they install a new head? Did they verify a crack in the first head? Did they check for flatness? Did they torque it correctly?

They did once, its the 94 dodge, and yes they did put on new head. The original head had cracks in it thats why they put new one on. I don't know if they checked for flatness or torque it right. They said today that the gasket blew and the new head was warped like a banana. They said It overheated. I told them inpossible, because I only drove truck and not once has it got over 190 or been push yet and it only been 1 1/2 weeks since its been done. I personally think they did something wrong as you mentioned, but what don't really know.

Unless you signed an agreement that you are responsible for failed new parts this one is on them.

Very possible it overheated, but caused by the leaking coolant and the temp gauge never goes to the red zone.

New head bolts or re-use the old ones? If they used the old ones did they measure with the Cummins gauge and record results?

Was the sudden engine stop caused by hydro-lock?

They are fixing on them, they did use new head bolts. I think it did hydro lock, because it just stopped quick.

Just got truck back. He said truck over heaed which cause head to become a banana. Only problem now is the truck Knocks. I think when the truck hydro locked it messed something down below motor. Also, think the hydro lock caused the head to be like that also. I am bringing it back to him. If he doesn't not fix it, I am gonna have to so something about it. What do you guys think?

Thanks,
rob
