Installed Donaldson M100580 WOW!

Last year, installed 5" with name brand bullet muffler.Havent been driving it as much because of horrible drone in cab.Ordered the M100580 and cant believe the difference in sound and performance. That bullet muff was brand name.It was making my truck run like crap. The turbo spools much sooner and linear.Very nice tone now also, esp at idle. That part # fits very nicely also under a q cab.

Have had the M100580 on my truck for a little over a year & have been happy with it. Slightly louder than stock but a deeper tone.

I cant believe how much better it runs also.Right when the drone started was a slight dead spot in my turbo spool. It spools right past that point.I wonder if that bullet muff was causing turbulance?Im with you on the exhaust sound.I really am happy with that part #.

I don't have that Donaldson muffler but after running straight exhaust with tailpipe, straight exhaust with stacks , and straight exhaust with FTE resonator and stacks....I finally got fed up with the CRAZY sounds I had to deal with and added a 51" Dynaflex muffler in conjunction with my FTE resonator and my MBRP tail-pipe and......holy cattle.......I can hear my radio again!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear you're satisfied with a muffler set-up.....you must be about the same age as I am . I see these younger guys on a daily basis put stacks with no muffler on their trucks and all I can do is wonder just how long they can take it before it drives them completely .

I just watched them chop 2 holes in the bed of an 2010 and install stacks.I couldnt believe it.And,it wont pass emission's testing now.I figure she depreciated the truck $2k on the very first day of ownership. Our local Dodge dealer wont trade them in now unless the price of returning them to stock is included.I recommended she keep the 2 pieces they cut out so the bed can be repaired someday.
