Info sources for maintenence

Total diesel novice here. Anyone know of sources of information on what I should be doing to maintain my diesel in tip top shape? I see people talk about using additives, and I know about the water seperator maint. Anything else I should know about?

This is my first one as well. I have read the owner's manual. It's a great place to start in my opinion.

Draggin,

Welcome to DTR! You have found your info resource right here. Just get busy reading. Hours and hours of information to read on every possible topic you can think of regarding our trucks.

If you have a question, just ask. Somebody will chime in an answer it shortly.

You probably will want to fill out your signature line so everybody else will know what truck you have and make it easier to help you.

Personally, at least so far....I don't run any additives in the fuel. Oil changes every 5k with Shell Rotella T 15w/40 and Fleetguard Stratapore filters. I change the fuel filter with a fleetguard every 10k. It is probably overkill, but I change my transmission, transfer case, and differentials every 15k. Tranny and transfer case get Mopar ATF + 4 and the diffs get Mobil 1 75w90. Hope that helps. Good luck. IF you have any questions.....just ask.
