I don't have an 06, but I recall somebody else on here mentioning it is the same. Just turn the key 3 times. Same for all 3rd gens I think.

The 3 key trick works on my 06. It takes a little trial a few times, I know it's operator error.

It worked on my 06. Check engine light came on, checked codes. The first was battery temp rational, a few months later the Intake sensor rationality. They both went away in a day.

I tried this in my 05 and it wouldnt work. Can you explain the technique in detail. Do you turn the key all the way off when you cycle the ignition switch or just go half way so the odometer can still be read? Do you turn it all the way on or just to the half way point. How long should you keep it in the on position and how long to you have to keep it in the off position for each cycle?

Did my new 06 last night for the 1st time. Went all the way off each time and did it fairly quickly. On the 3rd time just leave it in the ON position. Your odometer readout changes to" ------ ". Mine kept that display for a while and then showed "done". I assume if it had found codes it would have displayed them. After it shows "done", it switches back to the odometer display after a few seconds.

just did mine right now and it worked! haha, I'd tried it before with no success ... was told '06 didn't work. You have to turn it on and off 3 times quickly, before the bulb check starts running each time, then as noted, leave it ON the 3rd time. I just got the "DONE" ... no codes. I was hoping to see a code that read "Tranny shifts like crap... Please Fix" ... haha, but no such luck

I liked that. I sure does some interesting shifting empty. But it sure gets down to business when I put my #6000 boat behind it, I can't complain. I wanted a hand shaker but the wife had a vote also. Saves me from shopping when we are out of town on weekends.
