I am wondering if I can run just a downpipe as my exhaust. What does everybody think? I have a 2006 Dodge 2500 quad cab.

 

you can but you will loose your hearing quickly and choke to death on fumes. Most states require back of cab minimum

 

Will I cause any damage to my turbo?

 

You might get soot all over the bottom of your truck too

 

Well I figured the pulling trucks do it out the hood so. I would like to but I doubt that is street legal.

 

I had an exhaust clamp break and the exhaust was coming out from under my cab (right infront of the cat) for one day and holy crap it was loud! Strait pipe is silent compared to that. I'd say strait pipe towing 14k is quietier then dumping under the cab just cruising by quite a bit. It was unbearable.

 

U will be DEAF, That is loud. I messed up and made my stack height half way up my window and i couldnt drive it at all cause of the loudness

 

Enjoy the sound. wear ear plugs. JMHO
