How to change the lift pump on an 03

I am looking at changing the lift pump on my 03 2500. The truck gets harder to start when it has been sitting for a while ( overnight ) like the lift pump isn't supplying enough fuel on the first try at starting. The truck will always start on the second try. This is a new problem. I would like to do the work myself and put on the Walbro kit. Can any tell me what all I would need to do this, including where to get the parts? Also how much does this usually cost? Most importantly, how do you do it?

Be sure to download the manual for the unit you are interested in.
Most, if not all, your questions will be covered.
