Finally change lift pump

Finally did it. Just what I suspected. Before the change: 7 psi @ idle, 5 psi cruising & 2 psi WOT. After install: 12.5 psi @ idle, 10.5 cruising & 9 psi WOT. Much better but is it good enough? I also installed Geno's high flow banjo bolts while I had lift pump out. What do you all think?

Re:Finally change lift pump

Idle is a little low, but the rest is about normal for a stock pump. You did better than me. Just had one changed under warranty. Was 12, 8, and I could pull it down to 3 @ WOT.
After replacement, I've got 1/2 psi more across the board. Heading back. I'd like to get a good one before I move it, and change the lines/fittings.
Seems pumps are a roll of the dice.

That sounds kind of low. My new one was 17 and 12.

Wonder what Cummins West would say if I called them & told them my pressure isn't up to snuff with the new pump I bought from them? ???

Re:Finally change lift pump

My brand new pump hovers between 13-14 at idle, 11-12 at cruise, 9-10 at WOT. It may just be the guage is a little off. I noticed the biggest difference in my WOT numbers when I added my hi-flow banjos.

Re:Finally change lift pump

I just got back from a 400 mile trip. All highway miles at 65 mph with 4.10 gears. Was getting 15 highway & 11.5 city. Now with the new pump, I got 19.5 mpg. I will see what I get in city driving in a few weeks. I am happy now.
