How to ( BALL JOINTS )
Just did this on my 3500.

Imagine how much easier this job would have been if the factory used .05 cents worth of Never-Seize? Oh, someone forgot to put in a Cotter-Pin on my driverside axle. Could this have been the reason for my ABS sensor 'chime' going off from time to time?
Thanks for starting this thread!

Thats exactly what is happening to me now. Had new ball joints installed and the ABS light keeps coming on. Took it back in, they removed the sensors, cleaned them off, reinstalled everything and the ABS light is back on again.
Any ideas ?

Not sure if anyone has posted about this yet. I just used one of Snap-On's dodge hub removal tools when I did my passengers side. Was well worth the money, made the job very easy. When I did my drivers side last year I used the socket and extension method and split the socket like a banana peel. I felt much safer using this tool.
Here is a link to the tool on Snap-On's site

I used this tool with an impact socket and 3 lb hammer to drive out the hub. I had to go back and forth from front bolts to rear bolts a few times, but successfully walked the hub out of the knuckle (without breaking anything). The idea of using the hydraulics to do this made me nervous for many reasons, though it seems many have had success. Just another way to skin this cat...
FYI, Quad 4x4 has a great site and lots of goodies. I installed their greaseable ball joints in my 3rd gen about a year ago, using their press and tools. I am surprised no one talks about them, or at least that I've seen. I used them for a front dana/driveshaft ohaul on my old 1st gen too. Top quality goods there.

I was able to get the hubs out pretty easily using a small bottle jack to push on the bolts from behind when I did my axle joints a few weeks ago. It took a few wedges and spacers to get lined up right in various positions, but still seemed much more controllable and safer than the power steering or slide hammer methods.
I CANT GET THE ROTORS OFF!!!!

:bang head
I have hit them with the BFH over and over as hard as I can and nothing has budged! I have tried putting and using a bottle jack in behind it and nothing happens.
Anyone have any tips, I am getting desperate at this point.

I believe I will add this to the toolbox....
