U joint done!! Much easier than I thought. I bought mine ujoint from Auto zone cause they were the only place close by that had my part. Well I thought anyway. Their part numbers must be screwed up cause what they sold me was too short from cup to cup. Took it back I watched em go through their computer. What they have listed for the front wheel ujoints is what they gave me. The guy went back and pulled each one that they had for a 2010 4x4 CTD 2500. One that they had would fit but had outside clips. Luckily I could use my old inside clips.

Great thread! Love all the info and PICS!!

I'm curious about tools, I see lots of references to the OTC 8031 kit but has anyone tried the OTC 7249 kit? The 8031 looks to be somewhat of a master kit where the 7249 is a smaller more generic kit at 1/3 of the price (~$130). I tried calling OTC tech support to see if they had any real info but all they could tell me was it basically fits whatever vehicles the adapters fit, no specific applications. They also couldn't tell me if the C clamp is the same or not.

All that said, anyone tried the OTC 7249 kit?
