Angry HLEP!! 05 48re 1-3 shift under light trottle

I have owned this truck for almost 2yrs now and since I bought it with 37k on it it has done this. It will accel fine through 1st then go to shift to 2nd and the truck falls on its nose, sometimes it will shift back to 2nd by its self. Sometimes I will pull it back to 2nd or just press accelerator further to force a 3-2 down shift. at any rate when it does this I can't help but think its burning the 3rd clutches because not enough line pressure to hold- I don't know! I have had a local shop put the transgo shift improver kit in it. That magnified it to a 2-3-2-3-2 hunt. then tried a ppe programer no change- didn't expect it to but tried it anyway. Now I have had them rebuild it with all red eagle clutches and a triple disc and gov. solenoid. Also sonax offers a 2-3-2 hunt fix, which is the 2 and 3 gov bore plugs with seals on them. they installed this when rebuilding. Now its back to skipping 2nd and getting worse. PLEASE HELP

Isn't there a TSB / Recal on this? Try looking in Geno's Garage for it..

DTT Shift Enhanser and/or this may be your best solution. The DTT piece works great on mine with reduced TM. The silly TV motor and unchangeable program for it cause all kinds of issues. Might want to verify the gov pressure transducer was replaced also. If you don't do them in pairs its a toss up which one is bad.

I would also like to mention the TS Performance Shift enhancer. I have not tried either, but been through all the problems you are explaining now. If I were you I would be looking to change the solenoid and transducer at the same time. If that doesn't fix it then start looking into the shift ena

lol!!! that is the place that bilt the trans but we didn't install that yet. I have to go on a trip for thanksgiving When I get back I will have them install it . I have a good friend that works there, he is the head guru for that stuff. He said he didn't recommend it for mine at the time because he likes to try stuff out personaly before recommending it. But he has since put it in his truck and it seems to shift good. He has an 06 though and it didn't shift bad to start.
So we didn't know if that would help mine or not.
Any other thoughts keep em comin, and I will post with any updates or changes thx guy's!!!

You might want to invest in one of the shift enhancers also. They usually work better than just changing parts. See my sig for my preference. The guy that built my trans is looking at this piece as a solution cuz all the GM stuff he does NEVER has these kinds of problems. I am gonna throw one in mine sometime and see if it changes the full throttle shifts.

Look up TSB 21-009-07 on this site. It just replaces the Governer pressure solenoid. It should help your situation.
