I'm really liking the cornering I am getting since I added the Hellwig Anti-Sway Bar to my rear. Some say it isn't needed, while that maybe true, it does make a difference.

Jeeeze! The truck is not ment for autocross! I drive faster than anyone I have run into and have not had a problem. Try 35's...the added meat plants the truck better.

From Hellwig's Website:

What does an anti-sway bar do?
An anti-sway bar is designed to reduce body roll. It keeps your vehicle flatter in the turns by transferring the pressure exerted on the outboard wheels and applying opposite pressure on the inboard wheels. In this way weight is more evenly applied to all four wheels, helping the vehicle stay more level with the road.

The reason your truck is leaning in the corners is because it weighs 7000lbs loaded with people and fuel and probably 65% of weight is put on two front tires. The faster you travel around corner the more weight transfer is occuring to tires. These trucks weren't designed for cornering. cquestad might be right about putting on bigger tires though. You'll still get the leaning but at least it will be planted on a bigger footprint. Maybe urethane swaybar bushings might help. Try having everbody in truck lean in the truck as you turn corner.

ViperSBT,
What is the part number for your swaybar? When I looked on the Hellwig website I could not find any listing for 2500's or 3500's. Thanks,

There's no way my truck leans too much on a freeway curve at freeway speeds, and its a 4x4. Freeways are designed to accomodate even more unwieldy high CG vehicles safely.

Now if I drive it like my Mustang on the ramps etc. (at speeds above whats posted - which I never do ..... ) at freeway speeds, it might have some lean. The fix to this is slow down; or have some fun at Summit Point, or do a sally-ship like Alltork recommended.

I found that a good set of shocks will help in just about every way, and generally, this doesn't include the stockers. Try a new set of Bilsteins or Ranchos (or other quality shock) and you'd probably be amazed at how much better the truck handles.

I had a 2000 Z71 that I put Ranchos on and body roll and bounciness was severely reduced.

The part# is only a couple of months old, and not everyone has them in their system yet. The Hellwig Part# is: #7658. I've got pictures of it installed, I just haven't gotten them in the gallery yet. PM me if you want to see them. You should be able to get it around $170.
