High idle on a 2005 6 speed
Only AUTOS. I have done some research on a high idle (aftermarket)its out there and its not cheap. If memory served me right in the $400 dollar range.I started trying to make a pull cable fast idle and it will work if I could come up with a SMALL pull cable that locks when **** turned.Kinda lost interest.Might try again. Also mentioned this to a auto tech instructor I run into sometimes. He THOUGHT it would be somewhat simple to fool a cruise control engaugement?? Thats kinda how far the conversaion went. He's got a rep for being a electric/electronic guru.Any one with any thoughts on this.
I've got an aftermarket high idle for my 6 speed. Cost me $6.79. I wedge my windshield scraper between my console and the skinny pedal. Takes about 10 seconds to get it adjusted to where I want it, and I got back inside.
I had a electronic idle on my 00. I think it was around $500. But I had it tied in to my command start so that I could toggle the rpm from the key fob. I thought it was well worth the money when it was -40 c and I could Idle up the truck while drinking my coffee in the kitchen while still in my underware at 4:30 in the morning.
got mine and one for dads 2002 cummins through dieselservices.com, works great
only bad thing is the TST likes to set off a timeing code around 1200rpm, i just learned to live with it
and it likes to vary rpm 1200-1400-1200-1400 about every 15 seconds

Mopar clutch switch.
The programming is in all ECM's, but right now only your dealer can enable the program in the automatics.
Safety issue with the manual trans trucks. You could launch with elevated idle (1500rpm) because the clutch interlock is only tied to the ignition, not the ECM.
