high idle on 06 2500?
high idle on 06 2500?
When my truck starts in the morning, it idles normal (around 500 I think) then idles up by itself to 1000rpm and stays there. It's been cold in the morning here, in the 20's and it only does it this time of year. Any ideas?

Completely normal. Mine will do the same thing. Mine will idle for about 3 minuets and then idle up when it is in the low 20's.
It doesn't get cold enough here but I think around 0°F it will go right to 1000 rpm with no waiting.

you should be able to set the fast idle as well, by using the cruise control buttons.
as long as you dont touch the throttle or brakes, fast idle will stay engauged.
to enable:
turn cruise on, hit set (idle will start to climb) then hit/hold the accel button to raise rpm.

Not if hasnt been activated by the dealer or the use of a Smarty or pin 22 on the ecm grounded.
