Help! - Feels like brakes are stuck on
Help! - Feels like brakes are stuck on
Hi Guys,
I have not been let down yet by this website, hopefully you can help out now. I have a 2006 ram it has been running fine, I drove it to work today and parked it, got in the truck to come home and it felt like I was driving with the parking brake on. I was almost pedal to the floor to get the truck moving form dead stop. Seem to go away as the truck got up to speed. It honestly felt like I was driving with the brakes on or pulling a REALLY HEAVY load. The brake fluid is a little lower than perfectly full but I don't think its any lower than it normally is, I really don't check it that often. It does it in reverse to. I pumped the brakes about 10-15 times really hard and now it seems to be okay but not sure for how long. Help! I appreciate it! I forgot I have 125,000 miles

Yea, sounds like a sticking caliper. Does your truck have 4 wheel discs? You could jack it up and see which one is sticking. Even if it is driving better, you may be able to locate which one is sticking. And, if it were mine, I would replace both sides.
Both the front calipers are sticking, and the brake lines on the front need to be replaced according to the shop. They also my pads were at 30% and I should replace my rotors now too. The grand total to Replace two calipers, front pads, front rotors, replace front lines and flush the system...................1000-1100.......My heart skipped a few beats when they gave me that number.
