Help dont know what is going on!!

Ok my truck has done this the last 4 days.I get in and start it up pull out of the drive push on the gas and it acts like you just turned it off .It just sits there wont go over 1800 rpms for about 10 seconds and then bam all at once a cloud of smoke and she takes off .Then it wont do it again till you turn the truck off and let it sit for a little bit.What gives I dont know what is going on. I pulled my quad off and changed the fule filter on diff. Can any body help

Any guages? Now is when a fuel pressure guage would come in handy! Sure sounds fuel related. APPS problem, Any codes? Key from off to on 4 times ending in the on position. Codes will show in the odo screen.

no dont have a fule presser guage i wish i did right now .I will check for codes. what is apps?

I checked the cods and came up with P0720 I dont know what that is thit thing is making me so mad!!!!!

0720 is a low output speed sensor fault for the trans. basically the truck is going faster than what the trans reads on the output shaft

yeah yeah I know I wrote gas big no no.so could the speed sensor be part of my problem or could it still be a fule problem?

check the wires at the sensor, make sure they are not chaffed or broke or something...I kinda think fuel problem too....and this code may be coming up because of the low fuel psi???I would also check you lift pump pressure if you can.

Update on my truck.I took it to the dealer this morning and had it checked out . It turns out to be what redline ram said the low output speed sensor.They replaced it and all is good no more stalling out. thanks again guys for the help.
