Has anyone heard this one??

I tried to search it but cant seem to find anything, I was talking to a tranny shop and he told me that there was a TSB at Dodge for tranny shifting issuses. The altenator puts out a signal that can make the tranny shift funny ei if your cruzin down the road and let off the gas a little the truck will kick back and forth a little, like it is going in and out of lock up converter.

Has anyone heard of this issue?

Thanks.

That is a typical problem with the 2nd gens.

Its possible for a bad alternator to cause all sorts of issues in a CR for sure but not specifically transmission. Its also possible for a bad battery or scuffed wire in the harness to cause the same issues.

Are you having a problem like this or ????

Genos garage sells a APPS NOISE ISOLATOR that should take care of your problem.

Need info on your truck, year, trans, any mods.

Does it happen every time you let off the throttle or ??

Does it happen in OD, drive or both? What speeds?

Any other symptoms?

The truck is a 05 CTD quad cab 4x4 48re, when I'm crusing at 110-120km/h (60-70mph) in OD, if I drive faster it wont do it only around those speeds. I have 4" cat back and a Dr.prformance 3, the truck has 306258KM on it. I have codes p0633, p0602, p0483, p0243, p0480.

Today I noticed that the rpm's were jumping a couple hundered rpm's everytime it jerked.

Remove the Dr P and try to get those codes cleared. With the ones you have plus the power mod its hard to tell what is going on.

It was doing it before the Dr. was installed. I guess not a good Dr. since it isn't fixed......LOL.

I'm going to call the dealer and see if they can flash the computer and go from there, I hope it isn't the tranny the truck runs mint.
