Has ANYONE heard..........

That Dodge is bringing back the Ram Charger?

I was talking with a guy at work yesterday and he mentioned that a dealer told him about this - I'm calling the dealer on Monday....

Supposedly this truck is supposed to come with a Winch and front and rear lockers as well as a push button detachable sway bar - first one on the market. This is about all I know of this and will try to find more info like I said on monday......

IF this is true, would love to get one with a Diesel Engine (I doubt it but still I can wish! LOL)....

Well, I haven't heard anything about a new Ram Charger, but they are planning a new Power Wagon that has all the features you've listed. No, it does not come in a diesel version.... it's a 1500 with a Hemi.

There's really only one problem with it - it's gas.... I won't go back to a gas engine again - especially with the cost of gas these days, not to say that diesel is not that good either , but you can't beat the power of a diesel engine

You can still buy a Ramcharger if you live in Mexico. I've seen several there.

It's a 1500 with live axles instead of that crap IFS they went to. The GVWR of the Power Wagon is 8510 and the GCWR is 17000. About the same as a 1500, but still a ways from a 2500's capacities.

Yeah those things are pigs, love to have one. To bad they don't make 4x4 versions...Kind of like dating a woman w/ out breasts, suits a purpose, but doesn't fill needs.

Takes me back a few years. I had a '74 Ram Charger and also had a '78 Power Wagon.
I liked them both

It's a 3/4 ton(2500)... http://4wheeloffroad.com/brandpages/dodge/131_0411_pow/

"Available only in a 3/4-ton version with a Hemi V-8, the new Power Wagon is far removed from the antiquated and slow, cumbersome version of yesteryear, but still retains the legendary off-road ability, and then some."

I'll be damned...First i've seen it called a 3/4 ton. The Dodge website compares it to a 2500 but never really comes out and says it's a 2500. Nevertheless it is completely wicked, it's just too bad I can't afford a second truck...

it certainly sets a new bar for the "fx4/z-71" package you see on certain other trucks...

They softend the spring rates for a smother ride. Thats why the GVWR is lower. I want one I want one I want one. I love my diesel, but the front end is just too heavy for the mud in Alabama. I've been stuck twice in the last week! I dont know what a Hemi weighs, But it cant be near the weight of the cummins. Dont get me wrong. My truck is almost paid for, so i will keep it if I get a Power Wagon. I love my truck, but every truck has it's limits.

Hmm..

i seen the articles on the fourwheeler.com website, I believe its a red 3/4 ton, 4.56 gears in the pumpkins, air lockin diffs on 4 wheel drive, comes standard with a hemi, and a six speed manual... I dont recall if the t case has a reduced low range or not. yet i do recall that diesel wasnt an option on it. It also had the BFG 285's on 17's.. I read this about two months back so im not quite up to date on it, but im about 60 percent certain it was on www.fourwheeler.com.. that i read it... if not it was on 4 wheel and offroad...
