stock 04.5 ....problem with hanging rpm for about 1-3 seconds before it comes back down. seems to be the same under a load or in netural.

Heard some ideas of cp3.. what else can I check.. thanks

 

myne did the same thing around 1200 rpm. turn out it was an bummed injector.. does it idle rough sometimes? just something to consider..if i would get on the gas pedal it and then let off it would keep moving for a second or two. girlfriend found that one out for me just about ran through the garage in the winter time

 

havent had any idle prob yet. but I started laughing about the garage thing, mine is sorta the same... you have to think ahead while on the hwy.

 

I may be way off by this one, but mine does the same thing. I think it just dumps so much fuel it just hangs there till it burns and the boost then comes back down. kinda like a run away engine that stops.

Correct me if i am wrong thou.

Just had the same exact problem, read PLEASE HELP section article hanging idle down!!!!!!!

 

I changed my air intake system with a homemade sewer pipe cold air intake and amsoil air filter. It seems to help, but its not a cure.

 

If it is not an injector, it is probably the Fuel Control Actuator or FCA

 

Mine does the same thing usually when you stand on it hard and then let out of it. Thought that it might be dumping lots of fuel in like always_lost said, or that it was reading the release of the pedal fast enough.
