Got a P1740 code today????
2. Been driving 2 weeks with the check engine light on (been driving me nuts)
3. To see if it would throw the code again (it hasn't)
4. Why fix something that might not be broke.
5 Dont trust dealership mechanics, could have MORE problems with it after they get their hands on it.
I guess I just dont see how getting the P1740 code constitutes having my tranny completely rebuilt. It seems a little overkill for just 1 code that's popped up once and hasn't come back yet. Others on here that have had their trans rebuilt because of the 1740 code said it didn't help, it kept throwing the code even after rebuild. Since it's under warranty I could see them doing all this just so they can get some extra $$ from dodge. Is that thinking too much into it, or should I let them rip my truck apart. Again tranny shifts and drives the same as it has since day 1.
