Randy’s R&P has the gears for around $300.00 per diff, then you will need set-up kits that range from $70.00-$300.00 depending what you get. Then you have to find someone to do the install, which the price can vary, from installer to installer. The last time I had one set-up for my rock crawler I supplied the parts and the set-up was $175.00. That was on a drop out third that I pulled and took into the shop.

....and definately DON`T go with the cheapest guy , that says he can do them in his garage.

I`ve had many gear swaps in the past , and some turned out better than others. The last Dakota I had , I swapped out some paint work ,for a gear swap, with our mech. we used...and he did such a bad job , I had to have them re-done by someone else that was more exp. in gears.

I`d say at least 400 each.

x2 on not going with the cheapest guy. Go with the most patient perfectionist you can find & afford.

What's funny was when I looked up the 4.10's at dodgeparts, the rear was like 400, but it said Ring & Pinion gear set (includes ring and pinion, bearings, seals) so it sounds like it comes with everything to swap over?? The front said ring and pinion? When it comes time for mine, going to find a good buddy and have him set everything. Changing them and all isnt' that bad, and if your bearings, seals are good should be all set (I'd do seals anyway) but again bearings should be fine if your low millage. I'm at 35,000 problably wouldn't change them if there good.
