I'll trade my 3.73 gears for 4.10 gears?

Anyone with 4.10 gears that wants to trade for 3.73 gears? I need to get my rpm's up to spool my turbo quicker? Thanks, Tom J.

Sounds interesting, if you only had a 3500 DRW. I orderd my '06 with the 4.10's and had second thoughts. I went in to the dealer to change the ratio too 3.73 and was told it was too late. Oh, well. The off the line giddy up is nice, but I would like a little more top end speed though.

As far as i know, the rear axle is the same except for the extra wheels. So swapping wouldnt be a problem.

Where are you located? I have an 05 with 4.10's, and have been thinking of going to 3.73. PM me and maybe we can work something out.

Just installed 315s or 34.5 inch tall tires. Lost my city economy, hoping to get some umph back plus keep my full towing ability. Dropped me down to an effective rate of something like 3.40 if I was on stock wheels/tires.

The 4.10 guys especially with 6 speeds are really revving at hwy speed.

Seems like an equal trade, just need someone to do it where it is cost effective.

Would like to find someone with similar mileage and year as me... Just need to check on cost.

I'm at 2000 rpms at 80 I think.

I wouldnt mind the change either. The auto is terrrible when pulling with the taller tires. Maybe even 4:56's.

I went from 373 to 4;10 i really like the 4:10s really snappy off the line and if you want to lower the rpm just add tires.

I opted for the 4:10's and have done so in the past 3 trucks. They make for higher revs in on the highwa, but if your running 35's your gear ratio is somewhere around 3:90 I think. Which is about right.
