G56 Trans Fluid change

I noticed on the schedule B maintenance recommendations that they wait until 60,000 for the first fluid change on the G56 trans. Does this seem like to many miles to other folks? I drive hard miles, I was going to change the fluid at about half those miles. Maybe 60,000 is suffiecient for this new trans. Anyone have any thoughts about when to change, and what the best fluid is?

Personally, I wouldn't go past 30k miles before changing fluid in a manual transmission.
DC recommends ATF+4 for the G56. You could also try Royal Purple Synchromax since it's designed as a replacement fluid for manual transmissions requiring ATF fluid.
