G56 Fluid change question

Its about time for me to change the fluid on my 06 with the G56 6 speed trans. I was going to use Valvoline ATF +4. Is there a better fluid to use out there? Whats the best way to get the fluid in after it has been drained? The fill plug is close to the exhuast and there is not much room at all for pouring fluid back in. I just did my transfer case today and used valvoline atf+4.

I have an 07- I just changed the fluid to Valvoline +4 the other day. I got one of the screw on adapter with vinyl tubing attached- turn the bottle sideways and it'll slip up between the tranny and the "hump"- squeeze the bottle and fill away. BTW- they changed the plug size from the 5600 if you're used to those- used to be a 17mm wrench and now a 14mm. The only caution I could add is I'm not thrilled with the shift quality after the change- not bad, but seems a little harder to shift when cold- I expected just the opposite.

In my '05 I just removed the console and shift tower and poured it in the top.

I use the royal purple synchro max and it made a difference in the shifting
