Call Standard Transmission. They know your trans inside and out.

Standard Transmission & Gear | Tremec - Borg Warner - New Venture - Getrag, Cummins, 4 speed transmission, 5 speed transmission, 6 speed transmission
Hope this helps

Are you still having this problem? I experienced this the other morning and I stuck the trans in 2nd gear and rolled it forward then put in reverse and it went in,go figure.
Any way, I know I am pass due changing the fluid which may be my problem. Good luck with it.
Let us know how or if you fix it.

My issue is cold in the morning(cold in San Diego is 30* after backing out of the driveway. In order to gewt it out of reverse I simply recycle the clutch. I've tried pulling it out of reverse while backing up with clutch disengaged to no avail.
After warming up the trans no issues the rest of the day.
