I have the G56 transmission in my truck it has 150k on it before I pulled the tranmission to install another clutch I found what looks like a hairline crack on the tail housing almost at the bottom.
it was enough I could snag my fingernail on it and the area around it had signs of being wet, you could see a discoloration and feel the oil but no leak.
should I just put a new tail housing on it or should I get a replacement.
