I recently noticed the annoying squeek under my left side dash board area. Is this the "cowl crack"?? Can you expain a little more about what I am looking for??? and where??? What cowl are we talking about??????? thanks baron

Well, I havent had a chance to run by the ******* yet to get the prices on the panels.<br><br>Baron, if you open your door and look between the door jam and the inside of the front fender, you will see the side of the firewall (cowl). Here are some pictures to help you visualize the process.<br><br>The first pic is before the replacement panels are added.

OBR<br><br>I see you used enough rivets. When I did my 92, I only used the three that Dodge recommends for each side and one side came loose. Anyone about to do this should look at your pictures, and make sure they use plenty of rivets.<br><br>Also on my 3/4 ton 92, I did not have to take the bumper off.<br><br>Dan

Nothing about it is too difficult, as long as you take your time and do each step carefully.<br><br>Be sure you have the proper brackets. When I ordered mine, they kept sending me two for the same side even though they were two different numbers. They finally concluded it was a factory problem of putting the wrong one in the package. I was not able to get both sides and had to make one of them myself [no easy task, I do not recommend it].<br><br>Hope this helps.<br><br>Dan

Dodge only recommends 3 and I can tell you that is not enough. You should use as many as you can even if it means drilling more holes. The pictures you posted show how many rivets should be used. Some of the brackets have that many holes already in them and some only have three.<br><br>After the one side came loose, it would only rattle in very cold weather.<br><br>Dan
